Until recently, a 30% carbon content was the norm for recreational masts. Tushingham have upped this to 45%, in order to reduce the weight and bring further improvements in reflex response. The Carbon 45 is built using the wet lay-up system, a proven and perfectly satisfactory way of making a mast of this carbon content. The Tushingham Carbon 45 was the most sold mast in the UK last year. It also proved to be the most reliable with a minimal number of claims.
