April - September 2009 Llandegfedd club Slalom
Once we are in British summer time Llandegfedd windsurfing club plan to run evening masterblast slalom on forecasts. We are looking for force 4 plus of northerly or southerly wind and we'll be blasting across the reservoir where it's at it's windiest, simple easy format, no experience required. May 16-17 2009 UK slalom Rhosneigr.
National slalom and wave competitions on the isle of Anglesey. The slalom will run on the Saturday and Sunday and the wave competition will take place on friday too. Scott Harrison and Jon Mobbs plan to be there for slalom if it's windy , and Stef Hilder is focussing on the Wave discipline. If anyone fancies coming along for either event feel free to get in touch and well try and help you out !
June 13/14 2009 UK slalom Aberdovey.
The next round of the UK slalom series is held in Aberdovey, mid Wales. Like all the events it is kindly supported by Jp and Neil pryde, but this one sees a minimum £1000 pro fleet prize fund. If it's windy expect to see Scott and Jon battling it out for their share of the cash. If you've never been before and fancy a shot there is a great amatuer fleet, pop in for a chat and we can fill you in.
June 20/21 2009 Cardiff Bay Water Festival
Traditionally a kayak show we have high hopes this year: Llansihen sailing centre are planning to run sailing and windsurfing tasters througout the weekend and Welsh Yachting will be there is force. A great family day out promises to get much better. More details when we have them.
June 27 2009 Llandegfedd Open day and Team 15 event
This promises to be a fantastic day: We have demos from Starboard and Tushingham with special on the day deals: We have the first interclub Team 15 event in Wales. We will have masterblaster slalom and gps speed events (wind permitting), and we will have coaching and taster sessions running all day. Best getit in the diary now !
July 26 2009 Dale Team 15 Interclub Event
This is the Team 15 sequel to the Llandegfedd event. We will be running both easy racing and coaching througout the day in the beautiful location of Dale, Pembrokeshire. This is the ideal way for windsurfers under 15 to really get stuck into their windsurfing.
Early september 2009 The Fat Face Festival of windsurfing Hayling island.
What can we say about the world's best windsurfing event? Long distance races off the beach, more Pro's than an issue of Windsurf, Technique clinics from the leading gurus, next year's kit on display, night time supercross and a great saturday night party. Wind permitting we will be there, again, if you windsurf so should you.
